The following is my analysis on the film; American History X. I chose this film because it undoubtedly makes you think a lot about your own personal views on how you think of people from different cultures other than yours. Many people are blind, unaware, misinformed, or just plain ignorant in their thoughts of the differences in cultures. Racism and racial discrimination have been around a very long time, and most likely be around for a long time to come. Racial discrimination is the tendency of letting a person's race or skin color unfairly become an issue when deciding what kind of treatment a person should get. Minorities are the ones who mostly suffer from this but there have been cases where white people have claimed that reverse discrimination has occurred. The film produces several scenes of this, such as the heated discussions between Derek (head skinhead) and Murray (Jewish teacher, who is dating Derek's mom). The discussion is about how the black people are treated differently and how the government has to be careful on how to punish them and to what extremes they ca......
