In the fact that Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences (MI) has been widely accepted in the field of education, but has not been readily accepted within academic psychology due to lack of empirical data leads us to question if the theory can be used in education . Since each intelligence closely correlates with the independent learning styles that are inherent to all human beings leads to the possible use of the MI theory in education. (Schiller, 2008, p. 1). Since most educators and curriculum developers have already been exposed to this in their educational curriculums and/or educational offerings an overview of the MI theory will not be presented. The purpose of this paper is to answer the questions, how the MI theory can be utilized in learning "new teaching methodologies to accommodate the many aspects of human intelligence and learning styles in education." (2007, p. 1).
