What do you think is media? Media is any form of communication through which people are informed, educated and entertained. In short, they are radio and TV broadcasting, the press, the cinema, advertising and mobile phones. Media forms are addressed regularly to large audiences which are undifferentiated by social status, sex race, or cultural or geographical background. Although there are lots of countries where English is the official language, Great Britain and America are the largest areas of English speakers so I will take these countries as examples. 1. PRINT MEDIA The first media to develop were the print industries (newspapers and magazines) The growth of mass literacy after 1870 has resulted in the popularization of newspapers and magazines and the print media were progressively used not only for news and information but also for entertainment.
