A celebrity's problems seem to be fascinating to everyone and Mike Tyson, superstar boxer and once heavyweight champion, is an exceptionally interesting case of a man whose livelihood depends on him destroying and pummeling his opponents into submission. Yet his control over his anger and aggression causes a lot of problems for him outside the ring. After the ridiculous Evander Holyfield incident, Tyson's boxing license was revoked and he went under a psych evaluation in one of his many steps trying to regain his license. Now his formal diagnoses on the five axis scale was dysthymic disorder, cognitive disorder NOS, borderline personality traits, problems relating to social environment, finances, and legal system, with a GAF of 70. Starting with the dysthymic disorder, I found this very interesting because his original diagnosis of manic depressive seemed to fit more looking at his repeated outbursts in press conferences and interviews.
