Effects on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

There were a lot of people that contributed to the atomic bomb. A couple of people that were involved said it was impossible to make an atomic bomb. They were: Enrico Fermi, Albert Einstein, and Lord Rutherford. Enrico Fermi was an expert on attacking atoms with atomic particles. Albert Einstein was told his formula E=mc2 could be used to make the atomic bomb. Last but not least was Ernest Rutherford, he said it wasn't likely for anyone to make an atomic bomb. He said even if you used Einstein's formula you were a fool to even try to attempt to make one. There were a lot of people that did believe it would work but the main two people were Leo Szilard and Robert Oppenheimer. Leo Szilard said the only atoms that will be able to split were the high atomic weight atoms which was used for the two atomic bombs. After he figured out how to split them he went to Einstein and asked him to write a letter to Roosevelt and tell him that they found a way to make a atomic bomb. Robert Oppenheimer helped build the laboratories and he brought the best people to help create the atomic bomb. His well......
