Depending on a person's experience in either college or high school their opinions could be very different. In many basic ways college and high school are the same; they are a means to become better educated. However, college differs from high school in many important ways. In college one is much more independent, and there are many new responsibilities that come along with this independence. The learning environment in college is also very different, and often it is the student who must take the initiative and get the most out of a lesson.
