Early American Slave owners were Christian people by majority, they believed in the literal truth of the Bible. By this belief the bible and the quote above gave them justification to own and use slaves for their profit. The result of a successful new nation was contributed to major economic factors resulting from slavery. The colonists acquired their slaves through the triangular trade with Britain and Africa. The profits from sugar, tea, and coffee were major factors behind triangular trade. The slave trade consisted of three journeys. The first was from Europe to Africa carrying manufactured goods, then the middle passage from Africa to the Americas or Caribbean, carrying slave captives and other goods.
