I grew up in Southern Georgia a very poor area; it was indeed a struggle for me looking back now I knew I had a good life growing u compared to today. I find it hard today even in the society I live in to make it. I'm a single parent of three kids, going through a divorce, and trying to obtain a college degree. In this paper, I will take you back in time through my life and the struggles I went through to get me to where I am now. In life we must learn that we will go through many things, and life is not always what we want it to be. We will change in phases then we can look back and reflect on where we came from. I was born on Groundhog Day, in 1978 about four in the afternoon. I would be the only child born to a single mother on welfare, living home with her mother and younger brother. I claimed my uncle to be my brother and protector; instead I always ended up protecting him. My grandmother was the breadwinner of the family, and my mother seemed to be the house wife who stayed home and care for the kids. All I knew of my dad was that he was a one-night stand for my mom......
