'Blood Brothers' follows the story of twin boys whom were separated at birth and lived contrasting lives, until they later came into contact to form a unique friendship as 'blood brothers'. The story portrays the difference in upper class and lower class families in 1980's England. The story is set in Liverpool and deals with many social issues such as poverty, parenting, crime and economic struggles. As well as dealing with some issues, the story also brings up debates, mainly the debate over whether children are raised by their genetics, or their environment. This argument is known as Nature vs. Nurture.
At the beginning of the story, the scene is set. The events take place in Liverpool, England in the 1980s, a time of recession in the economy. Mrs Johnstone, a lower-class mother of seven children, living in mild poverty, finds out that she is pregnant with twins and feels overwhelmed by the thought of two more children. Mrs Johnstone works as a cleaner for an upper-class couple, Mr And Mrs Lyons. Mr and Mrs Lyons want a child but she is unable to conceive children and after Mrs......
