Leadership and motivation techniques differ from person to person. For this reason, effective managers must self assess and recognize their leadership style, and recognize how their leadership techniques affect their team. Leadership is influenced by many factors. A good leader must find it imperative to have an understanding of their particular leadership style. Many factors contribute to the leadership style that a person develops over his or her career. This week has been spent trying to recognize my own leadership style. This has been done through the use of a self assessment provided by the University of Phoenix. In this essay I will discuss my leadership style as it appears after seeing the results of this assessment. I will also discuss my strengths and weaknesses that have become evident through the assessments. I will also touch upon tactics I can implement to improve upon my weaknesses. Leadership style, however, is not meant to be stagnant. An effective leader must evaluate their style from time to time and continually improve upon their strengths and weaknesses. ......
