We are all conditioned in some way, be it operant conditioning or classical conditioning. For most of us we are not even conscious of this fact. Classical and operant conditioning can affect us in ways we did not even know were possible. These conditions could lead us to obtain an addiction or a phobia based simply on something that has happened in the past, whether directly or indirectly. Addictions and phobias are basically just emotional matters of the mind. Addictions are developed through both classical and operant conditioning, while phobias are typically developed through classical conditioning only. Both classical and operant conditionings are behavior modifications; however they are both entirely different from each other.
