Sacred writings and stories are defined by the Oxford dictionary as a piece of writing that has been specifically venerated for the worship of a deity, God or Goddess. This inturn means the Writing/Sacred text is regarded by individuals of religious authority with respect, reverence and admiration which in succession labels the literature as a sacred story or text. Both Christianity and Islamic traditions use Sacred Writings and Stories to influence the everyday life of the believer. The sacred writings and stories of Christianity are the Old and New Testaments. The New Testament contains the Gospels, the stories of Jesus, letters and additional writings, which all make up what is called the Christian Bible.
