Change affects each individual in many different ways. The response we have to it is affected by our values and morals and what we believe is right or wrong. Brat Camp is a study of change and it shows its necessity in life through the characters (The Brats). Both Ed's and Jenni's response to change was initially negative although was reversed through their journey at Roundy Camp. Ed and Jenni's response illustrates this concept through the necessity of improved values, growth and development and change of their attitudes and languages. The change of both Ed and Jenni's values were essential as they were impacted on from their past behaviour. Before Ed began Brat Camp he was drinking, disobeying the law by using illegal drugs, stealing from his family and was evicted from his family household. His values of life, health, family and self-respect were diminished. Brat Camp was to change Ed and was going to gain his values back. Ed fought against change and resisted against any form of it.
