As the professor stated in our first night of class, having spiritual wellness is the foundation to a person's well-being (Wellman). I have asked myself many questions regarding my spiritual wellness ever since Jerry made this comment and as I have continued reading our book about this wellness aspect. Am I spiritually well? I feel if I cannot answer this question, then obviously I'm not. As I get older I have relied on God more and more. I personally do not like to ask for help and see it as a sign of weakness in myself if I do ask for help. Over the past year especially, God has shown me a better way of life just by talking with Him daily and telling Him where I need guidance. I feel to be a better Christian and improve my well-being, I need to evaluate my spiritual wellness in my life and make the appropriate steps to having a solid foundation. Our Health and Wellness book by Robert Harper defines spiritual wellness as "involving thoughts, actions, behaviors, and values that provide a personal connectedness to God and a source of positive meaning and purpose for life......
