Communication consists of many assumptions because there are many different ways that people communicate. Communication is defined as a transfer of information between sources that does require both sources to fully understand the meaning and rules of that information (North ouse, 1998). This paper will be comprised for the relevancy of effective personal health care communication between the interdisciplinary departments and the outcomes of both effective and poor communication. In order to achieve effective communication within health care relationships, honesty and truth telling are two integral aspects of communication that must be obtained first. "Truth telling, also called veracity refers to the honest disclosure of information to patients. Effective interpersonal relationships depend on honesty and trustworthiness" (Northouse, 1998, para. 34). Because patients and family members rely on the health care professionals for advice and guidance in life and death situations, some level of honest and trust must develop before the relationship can be considered successful.......
