A very controversial topic around the country right now is the legalization of marijuana. So I ask this, should marijuana be legalized, especially for people with medical ailments? I personally do believe marijuana should be legalized. The legalization of marijuana would benefit our country in many ways. If marijuana were legal, it would help our economy by adding jobs and providing the government with more money from the taxes. The crime rate would significantly go down as a result from marijuana being legalized. Marijuana can also be used to help people with many different health problems. Since marijuana is going to be used regardless, why not legalize it and make it safe? The use of marijuana would be safe if it were legalized. Currently, drug dealers are mixing marijuana with other drugs and harmful chemicals to make their marijuana stronger than the other drug dealer's down the street.
