In "The Lovely Bones" by. Alice Sebold it starts with the Narrator Susie saying what has happened to her. "My name is Salmon like the fish; first name Susie. I was 14 when I was murdered" (pg.1). life doesn't always end after death. Susie Salmon was walking home from school one day where she was brutally raped and murdered. Susie watches over her family in there long journey of mourning her death and the finding of the killer, which you would never know is there next door neighbor. She watches from heaven, viewing each of her family members and how they are handling the disappearance of her body; Each seem to be handling it differently. Once she realizes that she will never step foot on earth again Susie tries to give her family the power that they can move on and live their lives happily. Even though Susie likes her heaven she sees her family struggle and she cannot really be happy in heaven Three days after her disappearance lead detective Len Fenereman informs Susie's parents that they have found a piece of her body part.
