Texas Revolution Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The Texas Revolution was a battle fought in 1835 and 1836 between the residents of Texas and Mexico. The question that we look at today is was the Texas Revolution an inevitable one or not. In my view the Revolution was definitely inevitable due to many major problems faced throughout Texas History. There was many problems that lead up to the Texas Revolution. In My opinion this battle could not have been avoided in any way. Some of the major problems that caused this battle or war could consist of things such as settlers moving into Texas and making it over populated, another could be the Spanish government and how corrupt it was, also some hostility towards the Mexicans, Sam Houston's role, and definitely issues dealing with slavery. All of these issues were some that led up to the Revolution, which in the end became the Republic of Texas. According to the text, The Texas Revolution was a blatant land grab by the Anglo Americans who were determined to wrest territory from Mexican control by whatever means necessary.(Haynes & Wintz 111) The Population grew tremendously by the......
