Introduction My purpose of my Science fair project is, Does having music in a classroom affect the noise level? I will test it by having a room about 10 people. While they are doing their work, I will put on country music for 10 minutes and pop music for 10 minutes and see how they react to each kind of music. I came up with this idea when I was playing with my violin, and it made me sleepy so I thought if I could get sleepy, then what effects will it have on other people. My hypothesis is, if I turn on the music while the 20 kids are doing their homework, then the noise level will change. I think this because if the music is going to be country music then country music is sometimes soothing and it has a steady beat .This project is important because, if students have trouble doing their homework because there is noise all around them then they can get their I-pods and listen to the music.
