Abortion, like many other issues that plague the 21st century Society, has been a topic of great discussion and immense deliberation. one side of the debate believes that a mother should be given the right to end her pregnancy so far as the baby still resides in her womb because the baby or fetus cannot be recognized as a human being and thus be accorded all the rights and privileges that all other humans enjoy. The other school of thought that opposes this reasoning believes that life begins at conception thus, it is absurd and inhumane for a woman to terminate her pregnancy. Abortion is tantamount to murder because life begins at conception and with the sanctity of human life in sight, I am of the view that abortion is criminal and thus, it should be banned. Firstly, human societies do not permit the taking of another persons life intentionally. It is a grave crime that attracts capital punishment and abortion is no different.
