Introduction Epilepsy is often known as seizure disorder. It is a result of the brain malfunctioning due to abnormal electrical discharges in the brain. Brain damage, illness, and abnormal brain development are all things that can trigger seizures, which are often indicative of epilepsy. Just because you have a seizure doesn�t mean you have epilepsy.
