Paul Brains� states that �many people who read and loved The Martian Chronicles forget entirely that the earth is destroyed in a nuclear holocaust during the course of the book and are surprised to be reminded of the fact� If this is true then it proves ray Bradbury�s brilliant ability to write and catch readers off guard. This quality is much like that of J. K Rowling but very different in terms of genre. Throughout the last few stories it is shown that Bradbury thinks of war as a mistake foolish people make. In the last two stories Bradbury uses imagery to let people know his opinion or view on war of any kind. The story titled There Will Come Soft Rains shows how when man has utterly destroyed earth for petty reasons nature and the memory of man will live on without man itself. One of my favorite parts of this section is the poem by Sara Teasdale. There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground, And swallows circling with their shimmering sound; And frogs in the pools singing at night, And wild plum trees in tremulous white; Robins will wear their feathery fire,......
