Jose Covarrubias Mrs. Harshman English 1 Honors 02/20/05 Violence Isn�t the Answer The creation of the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, the Earth, the plants, the animals, and humans is a story of love and passion that begins with the birth of two almighty and powerful gods. Helios, the first god, is the god of the sun. He is very powerful and very mighty. Nocturna, the second god, is the goddess of the night. She is beautiful and timid. These two were born into an empty and dark world. Helios and Nocturna stared into the dark and empty universe. Helios then pulled out several sphere-shaped stars, from his body, and threw the stars into the universe creating illumination in the universe. Helios pulled out one more star from him. It was his most favorite star. He threw it and named it the Sun. From the flames of the Sun nine planets were born. Helios and Nocturna chose the third planet from the Sun as their home. Nocturna thought that there should be a time of rest known as night so Nocturna put her hands together and out came a round object. She placed it in the orbit of ......
