Native American Mythology and Greek Mythology The book Anpao written by Jamake Highwater and The Odyssey by homer has numerous similarities as well as a tremendous amount of contradictions. They both come from two completely different types of mythology yet they have many connections between them. Throughout Anpao and The Odyssey many connections were made between the differences and similarities of Native American and Greek gods, ceremonial rituals as well as animal sacrifices. To begin with, the gods of the Native American mythology and Greek mythology are a like in many different aspects. Firstly, the sun god of the Native American Mythology is much like Zeus, the ruler of all the Greek gods in Greek mythology. Zeus portrays �the ruler of all the Greek Gods, Zeus was also considered the protector of human beings. He was worshipped and feared for his great powers.
