OVERVIEW We looked at what is waste; we mentioned briefly the different types of waste. Municipal waste, Industrial Waste and Biomedical Waste. More specifically we looked at Municipal Solid Waste. � We looked at garbage generated from households, construction, and commercial. We also looked at the four broad categories of garbage: Organic, toxic, recyclable, and soiled. We saw that since the beginning, humankind has been generating waste and with the progress of civilization and now globalization, the waste generated has become more of a complex nature. There is also a high rise in the world of consumers. We therefore we have more air pollution, more pollution-taking place on the earth and on the seas. We also have become more polluted with nonbiodegradable solid waste. In other words we have more products being packed in cans, aluminum, foils, plastic, and other such nonbiodegrable items that cause incalculable harm to the environment. We also looked at the increase in population and urbanization and showed how these two areas were also largely responsible for the increase......
