A Renaissance Man can be defined as a man who has broad intellectual interests and is accomplished in areas of both the arts and the sciences. One of the most noted renaissance men is Leonardo da Vinci. He is best known for his masterpieces �the Last Supper�, �Mona Lisa�, and �Madonna on the Rocks�. But he was far more than a great artist; he had one of the best scientific minds of his era. He was far ahead of his time in art and science, and some of his ideas weren�t even recognized till centuries after his death. The illegitimate son of a 25-year-old notary, Les Piero, and a peasant girl, Caterina, Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy, just outside Florence (Renaissance 1). His parents did not stay together and little is known about his mother since he lived with his father after birth. There are all sorts of theories as to his family tree history with mention of half brothers and sisters existing. However, it is not his family history that made him the intelligent man he turned out to be. But very well could be the answer to the way he chose to live his lif......
