Hawaii This took place freshmen yeah when I went to Hawaii with my soccer team for a tournament. My coach at the time was Ian Wilcox, who has been my coach for about four years. He called up eighteen players to play on this spring team he was starting up. We started to fundraising in early November, so we would have all of our expenses paid for by the time the tournament which started in July. We even started fundraising before the team could have an official practice, due to the high school season was still going and we had to wait until that was over. My coach always said, �It�s better to start early than too late.� My coach had some friends who worked with the Los Angeles Times newspaper and they agreed to help our team out by paying us to advertise their newspaper for them. My team members and I went to all the Clippers basketball games and Kings Hockey games, posted at different stations around the Staples Center selling the Sunday Preview paper for one dollar.
