Pastimes and How They Are Changing Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Teenagers are constantly complaining that there is nothing to do in the small town of Vero Beach, Florida, but the thing is they don’t appreciate what they have. So they tend to try and find other pastimes to feed their boredom. The pastimes they pick are not the best. Most teens are leaning toward sex drugs, and alcohol to have fun. Yet in the nineteen eighties teens were faced with the same problems and made other, better choices for their pastimes. Back in the Nineteen Eighties Vero Beach, Florida was three times the size it is today with half with amenities. In the 80’s teens such as myself would entertain them selves by spending the day at the beach or getting a group of friends together and go to the local skating rink for a couple of hours. For the night time pastimes, teens would head back to the beach for a bonfire. The beaches were open until ten o’clock at night so they would hang out until they closed. Then once the beach closed they would head of to riverside park and hang out around their cars, talking about how there week was and who’s dating who. Once Riverside Park......
