Life, Human, Person To place a label or description onto when life begins, what is defined as a human, and whether something is a person or not, is an ethical and moral nightmare. Directly related to this subject are various views regarding when it would be immoral or unethical to perform an abortion or do genetic engineering. This debate stems from when the fetus would be considered a life, human, or person. I will be discussing my views on each. Life to me can only be described as something that has the ability to strive without intervention. This in turn makes the term applicable to just about any form of independent growth. Plants, animals, and humans obviously would now fall into this category. To end a life should be left up to god unless creation of this life was subjected to some form of non-consensual conception. When applied to plants and animals, there isn�t really a way they can consent to conception; it doesn�t really apply. When applied to humans though, there is one specific point that I would like express. If there is a rape, or the woman carrying the child is ......
