Most men and women are opposites. For instance, the majority of men and women often have completely different thought patterns. This is a subject that is displayed through the stories �The Lady with the Dog,� by Anton Chekhov and �The Lady with the Pet Dog,� by Joyce Carol Oates. Both stories are portraying the behaviors and emotions of a person in an affair. In Chekhov�s version, he is displaying the point of view of a married father, Gurov, who is having an affair with another woman. In Oates� version, she is displaying the point of view of a married woman, Anna, who is having an affair with another man.
