Christian Morality Social Issue Paper One of the most recently talked about issues in the United States is abortion. Even though more people then not think abortions are immoral, they are still legal in the United States today. People can sit around and argue for hours about the pros and cons of abortion and it still comes down to one person�s decision, the mother of the child. There are many pros and cons about abortion, but I would like to discuss just a few, and I will start with the pros of abortion. For thousands of women with kidney disease, heart disease, severe hypertension, sickle-cell anemia, severe diabetes, and other illnesses that can be life threatening, the accessibility of abortions have helped prevent serious medical complications that could have resulted from giving birth to a child. When abortions were not legal, women with these problems only had two choices once they became pregnant. They could either go through with having the child, putting themselves and their baby in danger, or they could get an illegal abortion, which was very dangerous as well. An......
