Debt, form my point of view, one of the actual biggest problems in the United States, more and more people is getting in debt these days, people spending too much money on credit cards, sometimes money that they can�t even afford, and creating more debt for themselves. Debt, as the dictionary defines it as, something owed, such as, money, goods, or services. According to Eileen Alt Powell, consumer debt in the United States has more than doubled in the past 10 years. Consumer debt hit a record $1.98 trillion in October 2003, according to the Federal Reserve. That debt, which includes credit cards and car loans, but not mortgages, translates to some $18.700 per U.S. household. �The Depression generation is passing on, and we are losing their values,� said Howard Dvorkin. �Now we�ve got an entire generation that does not know anything about thrift and careful spending. It�s tearing the fabric that made this country great.� I totally agree with this because I also think that people should start thinking, and learning ways of how to spend more carefully, and stop creating, or getting in ......
