The French Revolution Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

From its outbreak in 1789, the French Revolution changed the social values and political systems in France, in Europe, and eventually throughout the world. France's revolutionary regime conquered much of Western Europe with it’s ideologies, but not without a fight at home and abroad. The Revolution’s ideals defined the thoughts of modern society, but the way they carried them out was of “questionable” morality. The French Revolution shaped the beginning to many countries’ judicial systems, including America’s, and eventually their entire system of laws. This report will show you how the Revolution achieved this goal. I. Origins of the Revolution. The people involved in the Revolution believed they were rising against a tyrannical government, in which the people had no voice, and the they were treated with inequality by raising taxes to some, and giving benefits to others. The government of France seemed to be a giant tyranny, but it actually was no more tyrannical than it had been in the past. The problem was that reform for the government was long overdue, and had long been......
