Entrepreneurs One who organizes a business undertaking? Assuming the risk for the sake of profit A great deal is known about what is required to be a successful entrepreneur. An overriding factor found in most successful entrepreneur is a tremendous need to achieve. Attitude seems to have everything to do with success in business, while factors such as intelligence, education, and personality are less significant. Throughout this paper I will discuss some of the characteristics and challenges of entrepreneurs and talk about a couple of entrepreneurs who have done well for themselves in his or her own business. Researchers and experts suggest that entrepreneurs share a number of common characteristics. They have found that, on the whole, the entrepreneur: � Likes to compete � Is a self- starter � Is able to determine risk and has the courage to take risks but is not a gambler � Likes a challenge � Is creative, and has dreams and goals � Is not easily discouraged � Has a strong sense of self worth � Focuses his/her attention on the chance of success then the chan......
