Frank knew that they had already received the ransom money. He had heard them counting it in the room next to his. �Yes, it�s all here. What do we do now? Turn him loose?� �No, he will set the whole police force hot on our trail the minute he is set free.� That was all he needed to hear. He had waited for them to release him. He knew now that his captors never had any intention of releasing him in exchange the ransom. He knew, too, that his time was running out. He felt himself going weak at the knees. His whole life flashed in front of his eyes. He could not give up now. He would not give up without putting up a fight. He was going to wait and find out what they were going to do with him. He spent the next few hours formulating a plan. He waited for his captors to leave. Then he wriggled free from the ropes that bound him. He tore his blanket in the centre and knotted it. Next, he broke down the door that led to that balcony. He worked with lightning speed. He secured one end of the blanket to one of the railing across the balcony and threw the other end down, and climbed dow......
