Have you heard the old saying that a woman�s place is in the home? Today�s society cannot apply that saying to women any longer. Even though over the last sixty years or so with all the new technical advances some things are still the same. In the world we live in today, gender roles in our society have been changed to accommodate the different needs of everyone. In most, but not all homes today, both partners work. Some have both children and elderly family members to care for. For a lot of families they have no choice but to have both the female and male working inside and outside of the home. Some of the males have had to learn how to cook, clean, and care for their families to help out their partners with their schedules. Women used to stay at home and take care of all the domestic duties such as those listed in the essay by Juliet B.
