Statement of Purpose Using two research studies on the topic of student teachers� perception of classroom discipline, this paper will illustrate the comparative strengths and weaknesses of the qualitative and quantitative research methods. The paper will then discuss how the author�s understanding of the way student teachers perceive classroom discipline has been affected because of reviewing these research studies and their results.
