For one to write an essay on the theme �Australians All� one must establish what an Australian is. To do this one must consider many different issues. The definition of someone born in Australia seems fitting enough, but what if someone was born in another country, had Australian parents and moved here at the age of one? They would grow up with Australians, have the Australian culture enriched through them, speak with an Australian accent and surely count themselves as Australians. What if someone moved here at the age thirty? Maybe they would proudly call themselves Australians. Maybe Aboriginals are the only Australians. After all they are a completely different race to Anglo-Saxons and they were here long before us. Where can the line be drawn? The answer is simple, it can�t. One who upholds the values that are deemed to be �Australian� may be the only means by which to define an Australian. The next question is obvious, what are those values?
