Never before in the history of mankind was the need for peace and harmony felt so keenly as at the present times. The events of 9/11 in New York, the bomb blast in Madrid on July 25, 2001 and the more recent 7/7 bomb attack in London have added extra dimensions to the already existing problems of violence, terrorism, hatred and such. The world community has condemned these incidents and there has been a consensus on battling against these terrorist activities with united efforts. The Bangladesh government and the Bangladeshi people have also expressed in unequivocal terms their strong condemnation of the dastardly activities of terrorists on installations and civil populations.
