ABSTRACT Most of us have been using commercial products especially medicine which are bought at high price. Now, we can avail and utilize this prepared medicine for cough from oregano leaves. It is proven effective by the researcher and is easy to produce. The raw material, oregano leaves are boiled with sugar to make into syrup. A test was conducted to prove its effectiveness. The produced medicine for cough was proven to be effective and is cheaper than the commercially prepared medicine. INTRODUCTION Since our economy is in crisis, medicines today are very expensive and only a few can afford to buy the kind of medicine they need. The idea of people nowadays is to buy food instead. It has been scientifically proven that oregano plant can cure diseases like cough. This is one of the solutions to improve our economy in order to become more productive and may boost our way of living, by having cheap medicine available that can be used at home which could also commercialized into smaller scale.
