Cloning is an identical copy of an organism by copying its genetic material. This happens naturally in single-celled organisms as they reproduce in cell division. Identical twins, which are clones, derived from a single fertilized egg naturally. Reproductive cloning, which is unnatural, is producing an exact copy of a human. Therapeutic cloning does not attempt to make complete humans. Still unnatural, it uses embryos as a source of developing stem cells for therapeutic purposes. Reproductive cloning is going too far in cloning research. However, therapeutic cloning has potential medical benefits for society but should stay under close supervision. Human cloning is an inefficient way of life.
