Is the so-called "modern revolution" in horse training REALLY new??? Is the Hollywood depiction of "bronc busting" really the standard by which we all used to handle our horses? Are so-called "traditional" horse training methods really traditional and if so are they really inhumane? Because of our modern methods of communication, we have access to lots of information quickly and easily, as never before. This is a mixed blessing for new horse owners and youngsters. I think there is a tendency, upon reading horse training information for the first time, to assume that the information is true and correct. Publication is sometimes erroneously assumed to confer legitimacy upon the writer's views. There is a tendency also, to think that nothing of any real value existed before oneself entered the scene.
