Dracula Analysis Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Dracula by Bram Stoker is a Gothic novel that sends many conflicts and experiences to the gauntlet. During the story the path of the reader is crossed by battles between good and evil. Most, if not all, these battles have something to due with Christianity, God being the good and Satan being the evil. At the end finally all the disputing forces are seen in the final chapters for one last battle. Upon these battles we see female sexuality making itself noted highly. The threat of female’s sexual behaviors highlights itself very brightly throughout the novel and is the major theme. The major theme that is most prevalent in Dracula is female sexuality or in other words the threat of female sexual expression. Dracula is a novel that gratifies the Victorian male vision. During the Victorian era in England, society had extremely inflexible expectations of women and their sexuality was obviously not tolerated. A woman of that time had only two choices in life: If she was single she would be expected to be a virgin and a model of purity and if she was married she was expected to be a wif......
