The three common characteristics attributed to God are the following: omniscience, omnipotence and supreme benevolence. Being omniscience means that he is all knowing, God has to be all knowing all powerful or else he would not be considered God. The three major religions, Islam Christianity and Judaism all believe that God has these three attributes and more. The problems that arise by these beliefs are known as �The problem of evil�. If God is all knowing and all powerful and as loving as theist�s claim he is, then why is there so much violence, loss and anguish in the world? Does God enjoy watching people suffer? God would not be God if he did, according to religion, He is all loving, He cannot watch people suffer. A counter argument to this would be that God is punishing those who deserved to be punished but if this were true then why do innocent children end up with diseases of the mind and body? The only answer that can be given that might not receive criticism is that God works in mysterious ways. Maybe God is doing some people a favor by having them go through certain obstac......
