From reading sources D and E I can see that they were both fairly useful as evidence to the public reaction in the USA to the Vietnam War in the mid 1960’s. Source D is an article from Newsweek that was published in 1967. This already sounds like a good source because Newsweek is a highly respected magazine that is always known for its accuracy. This shows that it is a reliable and trustworthy source because of the respect that the public gave it. The first line of the article says, “Television seems to have encouraged a majority of viewers to support the war”. This shows that the television is helping the public make up their minds on what they see. Because of what is on the T.V it helps sway the public to whatever view the T.V wants to broadcast. “64% felt like backing up the boys in Vietnam” 64% is a large proportion of the public.
