Learning and involvement have always been an important part of my life. I enjoy school and learning and being able to discover new things in life. School is important to me because I believe that an education can take you anywhere you want to go in life. I believe that I can further this goal at Texas A&M University. I believe that to accomplish anything, you need to have a solid education. I have been involved with an organization called �Our City Our Children� in Fort Worth. Our City Our Children was a committee composed of students from different areas of the city that were chosen to represent the teen voice of high school students of Fort Worth, public and private school. We would have several meetings a year that we would address the needs of the highs schools. During these meetings we would discuss the things that needed to be improved. Being in this committee, I have worked with the mayor and the city council informing them of the needs of the high schools and the things that they could do to make our city and parks safer for the children of Fort Worth.
