�Mealtime Order� In today�s society, there are many norms that one has to follow. Mealtime norms are no different and include saying please and thank you and not talking on your cell phone while at the table. In addition, one must use proper utensils for the food that one eats, fork for and spoon for soup. A norm within fast food restaurants is ordering the proper food at the proper place. One way to break this norm is to order a Whopper at McDonald�s. This would be unacceptable behavior in today�s society. Another restaurant norm is tipping after the meal. There is also an order in which we eat meals. For the most part, people will eat breakfast, lunch, and then dinner, perhaps eating dessert after lunch and dinner. There are many more mealtime norms; these are just a few that many practice. The norm that I broke is one of the above mentioned, that is, the order in which I eat my meals. I believe this is one of the most important norms because it is habit. Habits are extremely hard to break, and so, I think this one will be around for a while.
