She was born on July 10, 1980 in Houston, Texas to Joe and Tina Simpson. Most of Jessica�s upbringing was influenced by the fact that her dad was a youth minister at the Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas. Jessica started singing in the church by the age of five. She was already proving how talented she was as a singer by becoming one of the church choir�s soloists and impressing everyone who heard her sing.
