My heart was thumping. My mind was racing. That horrific image wouldn�t stop playing inside my head, or on the television. I couldn�t help but think of the worst scenario possible; he was gone. Two planes had just crashed into the World Trade Center, and all I knew was my dad was supposed to be flying into New York that day. That morning began just like every other morning. I reluctantly woke up, took a shower, got dressed, and, after a ten minutes walk through my neighborhood, was at the bus stop by 5:55am. I truly believe that high school students should not have to be awake that early - no one should have to be awake that early. I arrived at school around 6:45am and conversed with my friends just like any other day. You know: who's seeing whom, what exciting happened the day prior, just normal, everyday girl-talk. When the first bell rang, I wnet to my first block class, English literature.
