While the loss of Judea and the other terrors Jews were faced with are obviously terrible results of the Bar Kochba Revolt, there is an undercoating of fascinating, and revolutionizing change. Judaism was refreshed and transformed into a stronger and more self-assured religion. Judaism flourished after the Bar Kochba revolt and significantly changed in most aspects: politically, economically, socially, geographically, academically, and religiously. After the Bar Kochba revolt the political situation was at a point of downfall. The Jews were stripped of all power or rights, and their economy obviously followed in the same direction. However when Severus came to power in 222 CE, Jews were once again given power of legislation, and a Jewish justice system. Still Palestine suffered with the rest of the Roman Empire.
